I went there an hour early just so that i can get the work done as soon as they open. Fast service.. I would advise to go a bit early by 1:20 or so as the queue builds up by 2 PM.

I went at 2:45 PM and had almost 60 people standing ahead of me. Took me almost 1 hr 20 mins to get to the counter only to show my mobile and tell the supervisor my name and phone number which he was entering manually. For such a long line just having one manual booth is pretty sad if you ask me. On top of that there were people constantly coming in from the side door and having the supervisor talk to some agent just to skip the line to which the supervisor was even talking and helping them out before the people standing in line for hours. Since getting a number plate is a one time thing, people usually forget such misconducts and move on. Note: It's said that the affixation is free but if you opt for the framed plates they charge 500 rs extra.
I reached the H.S.R.P center at 2 pm on Friday. There was not much crowd, only 10 people ahead of me. The process is fairly fast. The person on the counter will ask if you want any extra protection for your plate. I didn't take any extra protection. For bikes it costs 200 rupees more to get it. I got my registration plate in about 20 min. Then, it took another 20 min to get it affixed on the bike. There is no shelter, so be prepared to burn in the sun.
Very Crowdy Place..... Normally Number Plate is provided between 2 to 5 PM but the queue is normally very large and it may take 1 to 2 hrs to get number plate. So plan accordingly.
There is no proper arrangement for people to form queue, we have to stand in the Sun please reach before 2 pm if you want to avoid being at the end of the line, other wise it is OK.
There will be a big queue always..try to reach before 4pm to avoid revisiting
No shelter for customers.. Severe heat from sun.. Old people suffering to be taken care ....
Opens till 5PM
