What a terrible, harrowing experience booking with The Weekend plan- a now-defunct company. We booked a 'luxury' villa for November 2018 in Goa which was over a lakh and to our surprise, the condition of the villa we checked into was far from the images on display. Moreover, after paying so much and it being a customized experience, the least we expected was an early check-in after all the travel. A basic hotel/ Airbnb accommodates these requests, but surprisingly enough, the agents didn't bother. We were so disappointed that we had to shift out to the nearby Novotel instead, after being promised a refund of Rs.77,000. Its been 2 years and counting for this refund to be processed. We've gone through multiple claims of 'personal emergencies' and blame games which all ended with the Weekend plan and its sister company, Lush Prive going under and claiming no money. Instead of agreeing to settle this amicably, I should have just pursued an immediate refund at the time. Ex-founders are now claiming to be employees trying to revive the business. 100% do not recommend.
