Very old book store on the footpath next to the Mylapore Club. A lot of used textbooks are available and they are able to retrieve it easily

Here you can find a huge collection of books. The best time to visit this place is before the sunset. The lady is very courteous and kind. She will help you to find the books.

I visited this stall as a small child and then as a young(er) man. Both times, an elderly man looking like a true alwar (my grandfather always said, 'Ella pusthakam namma alwar kitta irukkum') was able to point me to affordable books in excellent condition. He knew every book in his catalogue and exactly where to find them. It's been years since I last visited but seems from other reviews that this tradition is continued at least in spirit. Would love to know if he is still there!!!
