Amazing place for a day outing... Especially with family, the park is beautiful, there's boating if one wants to do some fun activities, the light house has a beautiful view of the tungabhadra reservoir.. Also night time the dam is lit with beautiful light display

Beautiful place and the perfect spot for sunset!! Must visit in July and August to enjoy water release from the gates. Even though it's an amazing spot to enjoy the beautiful scenery. Be aware there are Monkeys!! Worth visiting to see the beauty...mighty Tungabhadra..best to visit during evening to watch the lighting..and the lovely walk to have fresh oxygen.Don't miss.this is the garden from where you can see beautiful view of Tungbhadra ! very well managed and maintained

Don't go for bus ride to high point. It is useless. Walk to the garden and have fun over there. You can walk to lower dam view. Strictly avoid bus ride to high point as there is no proper view of the dam.

Pleasant environment , incredible view , very vast lake . One of the oldest Dams built in India post-independence, Tungabhadra Dam is also known as Pampa Sagar. Tungabhadra Dam is built across the Tungabhadra River, a tributary of River Krishna. The Dam lies in Hospet in the Ballari district of Karnataka and has a whopping capacity of 135,000 million cubic feet.

Good place to visit. Entry is restricted on dam. Prefer traveling by dam bus service.
